George Baloghy is a prominent New Zealand artist known for his realistic oil painting (realism) recording New Zealand urban landscapes and cityscapes as they evolve over time. His work evokes nostalgia for different eras, where everyday city life is embued with new meaning through time passed. He has also been known to parody iconic works by artists such as Robin White and Christopher Perkins. As well as being listed on Art History university curricula, George's paintings are held in private collections and public art museums across New Zealand.
