Richard Joughin
| Devonport sculptor who has had work accepted in The Portage Ceramics awards. Richard has been a ceramicist since 1978 graduating with a Fine Arts Degree from Otago Polytechnic. He has built his own studio in Devonport and been a sucessful landscaper for a number of years and worked in London. Richard has been greatly influenced by the Bauhaus artist Paul Klee and the surreal and minimalist art of Juan Miro. These works are about the inter-relationship between industrial and organic elements - the polar opposites and the tensions created between them. |
