Raymond Jennings

Raymond has a Diploma in Fine Arts from the University of Auckland and has been painting for over 35 years. In 1994 he designed and constructed the stage set for "The New Zealand Wearable Art Show" in Nelson. He has completed several commisisons including a large mural
at Kamo High School and a double mural of trees inside the Aulsebrooks factory in Auckland. He has had a number of exhibitions in public art galleries in New Zealand including The Suter City Art Gallery and The Canterbury Art Gallery in Christchurch. He has also had successful shows
at the Adrienne Contemporary Art gallery in San Diego and the London Fine Arts gallery in Singapore. His works are held in private collections in New Zealand and overseas. Raymond paints New Zealand landscapes that are distinctive in their composition, structure and choice of colour.
The line is an intrinsic part of the structure and the rhythmic combinations of colours are deliberate and not forced.
Recently in 2009 and 2011 Raymond was a finalist in the Wallace Awards.
