Private Property
Group Artist Exhibition

May 22 - June 7
Opening Saturday May 22 4.30pm

Driving through the backroads of Puhoi north of Auckland we came across this
wonderful example of an old colonial house. We noted the sign which reads Private Property,
No Trespassers, No Shooting, No Dogs. We were suitably intrigued and asked a group
of our artists if this image stimulated them in the same way and if they would be interested
in exploring the term "Private Property". The resulting works are not only striking for their
diversity and imagery but also because they represent for us what is exciting about group shows.
You never know what comes out of the pot when you stir it!
