Michel Perrin was born in 1972 in Annemass, France. He spent his childhood there, close to the Swiss border. A deep interest and fascination with photography was cultivated during his teenage years. As a ypund man this passion was further develpoed when he moved to New Zealand 24 years ago, being awestruck by the abundance of natural wild beauty.

"I am a professional photographer working in the commercial sector. My broad range of work has featured in numerous NZ magazines. I have worked with a diverse range of New Zealand companies commercially to showcase their company profile and products.

In 2007, I entered the NZIPP Iris photographic competition for the first time. I entered eight images and all of eight were placed. I entered a mixture of landscape and portraiture. I received three silver and five bronze places.

In between the chaos of tones and shades, an invisible flare forms from a different time and space.
A moment of true stillness as the light bounces and is emblazoned across the movement. Maybe we should just ignore all that we have become accustomed to, blinded by an obvious life, stubbornly try to understand. The incandescence that is expressed through the soul of one’s self does not need to make sense."
