Artists Statement
Art, like dreams is open to interpretation. I also think like dreaming, it is good for working things out.
My work has evolved with me, it reflects the emotional process of my life, much like a journal. Inspiration comes from my desire to express visually how I experience the inner and outer world.

Artists Biography
Bernadette has had no formal training but began drawing and painting as a child. After leaving school she founded her own fashion label (Cabash) and spent years developing distinctive and individual approaches to garment design, hand painting, screen printing, fabric design and exploring many areas of fabric dying techniques. In the late 90’s she left the fashion world to spend more time with her children. During this time she performed as part of the Spanish Fiesta dancing troupe - influencing her creative approach.
She began painting again in 2002, crafting a body of work in response to questions and themes in her personal and spiritual life.
