Kia ora , nau mai, haera mai, we welcome you to our 30th Anniversary Exhibition at Art by the Sea gallery.
Running from 2nd - 14th April, this event showcases the artists who have blessed us with their mahi and their support for so many years. 

We are humbled by their passion and commitment, even in trying times, and proud to act as kaitiaki, as guardians, of the artworks that tell their stories. In this event, we celebrate the differences that set our gallery apart. We are known to house a wide variety of artworks, ranging from vibrant abstracts, landscapes, and ceramics, to small ink etchings, photographs and cast bronze figurines; from delicate nudes and intimate flower displays to freestanding sculpture and Maori carvings; from dogs, birds and horses captured mid-flight, to tigers and wolves caught mid-prowl and mid-howl. We respect and honour these works in our approach, focussing on the emotion and empathic understanding that connects people through works of art.

We also wish to express our gratitude to our regular clients, in Aotearoa New Zealand and overseas. This exhibition marks thirty years since the establishment of this gallery and one year since we made the sad move from Devonport to find a new home and a new beginning in Takapuna; we acknowledge and thank both boroughs for welcoming us into their communities.
